Kaske Law is proud to welcome Erik Cabrera as the newest Associate Attorney to join our growing team. Erik will primarily serve clients from our Collin County office, where he will focus on helping individuals and families navigate complex legal matters with confidence, compassion, and skilled advocacy.

Erik earned his undergraduate degree from Austin College, graduating with honors in Economics while serving as President of the Austin College Mock Trial Association. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law, where he developed a strong foundation in trial advocacy, leadership, and public service.

During law school, Erik served on the executive board of the Hispanic Law Student Association, competed on the National Trial Competition Team, worked as a Student Attorney in the Community Lawyering Clinic, and was selected as a TEDx Speaker. These experiences helped shape the client-centered attorney he is today.

Prior to joining Kaske Law, Erik represented clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody disputes, and CPS cases. He is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate difficult transitions and protecting what matters most to them.

Erik is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing him to serve and communicate effectively with a broader range of clients throughout North Texas.

His commitment to advocacy extends beyond the courtroom. He has worked to support families and communities impacted by mandatory minimum sentencing laws, reflecting his dedication to justice and meaningful community engagement.

In addition to his Texas state court practice, Erik is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Texas.

Outside the office, Erik enjoys spending time with his cat, collecting physical media, and watching films. His favorite movies, Past Lives and Silver Linings Playbook, resonate with him because they explore the complexities of human relationships, a perspective that aligns naturally with his work helping families through challenging circumstances.
